The Mariyung, also known as the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) is a fleet of new trains being introduced to operate Sydney Trains electric intercity services in NSW. The trains are designated “D-Sets”. They will allow for the retirement of the aging V-Set fleet and the reallocation of the OSCar H-Sets to Sydney Trains suburban services. The new trains began operating services on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line on 3rd December 2024. They will enter service on the Blue Mountains Line on 13th October 2025, and will follow on the South Coast Line in 2026.

A total of 610 carraiges were manufactured by Hyundai Rotem in South Korea, and are maintained by UGL at the Kangy Angy Maintenance Centre on the Central Coast. They are formed of 4 and 6 car sets, which form 4, 6, 8 or 10 car trains in service. Four car sets are numbered D1-D70 and the 6 car sets are numbered D101-D155.

The first two 10 car trains (D2+D102 & D3+D103) were delivered in December 2019 and began testing in January 2020. D4 & D104 arrived in mid-July 2020.
The new trains have two-by-two fixed seating with fold down tray tables. The DND cars have an accessible toilet and three bicycle racks. The DNL cars have an ambulant toilet and the DT cars have a large luggage rack. DN, DND, DNL and DT cars all have a luggage rack at one end of the lower deck.
As part of the introduction of the new fleet, the Blue Mountains Line required modifications to increase the loading gauge from “Narrow” profile to “Sub-Medium” profile. The work involved shaving platform edges, track slewing and “notching” of the Ten Tunnels near Lithgow. Additionally, stabling sidings and platforms have been lengthened to accomodate the 10 car trains, especially at stations where the trains will begin and end services.
